| 内容記述 | Kwan Yin 観音is introduced from Buddhism to describe “Holy Spirit” in Christian theology by some Asian Women Theologians. Doing theology is a political activity and everyday “praxis” for Asian Women. Kwan Yin is one of the symbols they have created to mediate between their own experience and Christian teachings. Kwan Yin is also believed to be rooted in the ancient Goddess worship that permeates through East Asian countries. This paper will examine the meaning and the role of the Kwan Yin metaphor in the Asian Women’s Theology and how far this symbolic intertextuality may be developed. | |||||
