The Reading school has greatly contributed to the theoretical development of MNC theory since the beginning of the 1970s. However, it may be that the rapid global growth of the computer-IT industry obsoletes or invalidates the theoretical edifice established by the Reading school.\n It can be observed in the research findings that the Japanese TV-game industry is seldom fully multinationalized through internalization as is explicated by the Reading's school. It is therefore inferred that internalization theory is systematized, predicated on the analysis of MNC's oriented for cost effective behavior.
